Examination Structure at KVM
Fostering Continuous Assessment and Academic Excellence
At KVM, we believe in a comprehensive examination system that goes beyond traditional assessments to provide students with regular feedback, identify areas for improvement, and prepare them for academic success. Our examination structure is designed to promote continuous learning, accountability, and holistic development.
Our examination system at KVM is designed to foster a culture of continuous assessment, feedback, and improvement. By providing students with regular opportunities to demonstrate their knowledge and skills, we empower them to excel academically and achieve their full potential.
Key components of our examination system at KVM include:
- Minor Tests: At the end of every month, students participate in minor tests designed to assess their understanding of key concepts covered during the month. These tests provide regular feedback to both students and teachers and help track progress throughout the academic year.
- Random Tests: To gauge the real condition of learning and ensure that students are consistently engaged and prepared, random tests are conducted at various times throughout the year. These unannounced tests encourage students to stay focused and motivated and help identify areas where additional support may be needed.
- Quarterly Exams: Quarterly exams are held at the end of each academic quarter to assess students' mastery of the curriculum taught during that period. These exams serve as checkpoints for student progress and provide valuable insights into their strengths and areas for improvement.
- Daily Test Series (DTS): Starting two months before board exams, students participate in daily test series (DTS) to help them prepare rigorously for their upcoming board exams. These tests simulate the exam environment and allow students to practice time management, stress management, and problem-solving skills under exam conditions.
- Pre-Board Exams: In addition to DTS, students also take pre-board exams as part of their final preparation for board exams. These exams closely resemble the format and difficulty level of the actual board exams and help students assess their readiness and identify any gaps in their knowledge or preparation.
- Half-Yearly and Annual Exams: As per the academic calendar of the education department, KVM conducts half-yearly and annual exams to assess students' overall understanding of the curriculum and their academic progress. These exams provide a comprehensive evaluation of student learning and serve as important milestones in their academic journey.
